Ok, Some thing have changed over the last 8 months, Can you tell what they are? I July last year my hobby became baby distracting and chief poop cleaner for my boy Seb. As I'm sure all hobby fans with kids can attest to, this means that the amount of time and spare cash available for hobby becomes nigh on next to 0 on both counts. However, a visit from the in-laws meant that I was able to dust off the hobby desk and make something. Since there is a small painting competition on in the local GW store I figured I would give it a punt, so... I give you Arch Tech Mage Varas...
He is composed from a Cairn Wraith for the main body of the model, the hands off a crypt horror, and parts from a busted up watch. The staff is brass rod with parts from various Necron, Skaven and some circuit board along with wire and chain scraps. Oh... and he was put together over two afternoons with the minimum of hassle.
Fingers crossed, with the in laws visiting, I'll be able to complete a good chunk of the beastie over the weekend, but as the competition is not till the 2nd of May, I'm not in the the biggest of rushes...
